Magdalena Palace
If an emblematic place exists that reunites all imaginable
charm to attract a congress meeting, is the Magdalena Palace. Constructed
in its origin as summer residence of the Kings of Spain at the beginning
of the XX century, it was reused later as headquarters of the prestigious
International University Menendez Pelayo, remaining with this main activity
to the present time.
All the assembly has been equipped with an infraestructure
of communications, an integrated control system, fire detection, air conditioning
and security, with the purpose of obtaining a greater comfort, a more
rational use, a power saving and a greater security. All based on a network
throughout the complex, sharing the traffic of information for the sound
system as well as technical data, between the three buildings as if they
were a whole.
The Palace has at its disposal a kitchen, bar, dining room, press rooms,
offices and several rooms for relaxation and meetings. A building that
contains the current technological advances without destroying the original
image nor the beauty of the surroundings.
