San Vicente de la Barquera

San Vicente de la Barquera is the marine village par excellence as it is obvious in all its traditions, customs and even in its popular festivities.

San Vicente forms one of the best known and most beautiful images of all the Cantabrian Cornice.

From a nature point of view, it possesses a magnificient list of privileged beaches and a beautiful picturesque estuary scattered with colourful boats and small fishing vessels.

The old part of San Vicente is also a charming area thanks to its church, castle, and remains of a fortified wall. The bridges have a lot to do with the beauty of this village which has as background the Picos de Europa with its permanently snowed peaks. All of this make this old fishermen's refuge an ideal place to relax and enjoy.
